Wrong turn.....

The day started just like the other normal days; but ended with painful news. Two students of my college died in an accident. Yesterday they were laughing and having fun with their friends, at that time no one had thought that they are spending the last day with them. Today there is silence everywhere, all are afraid of losing their pals. In a month or so, one of them was about to have the marriage of his sister, he was personally inviting everyone. Till yesterday his parents were preparing for the marriage of their daughter; and today they are trying to control their tears, trying to swallow the fact that their son is no more. The house which was about to witness a marriage, which was about to see happiness, is now filled with the sounds of crying hearts.

One can not blame anyone for such a tragic incident, because no one makes such mistake willingly; but still we can easily find various cases in the newspaper like road accidents, someone getting drowned, etc. many of which take place just because of the carelessness of the person, that carelessness may be in the form of rash driving, driving your vehicle after consuming alcohol or any of the other form. Teenagers can be easily find committing such mistakes, but if you’ll say something to them then all you’ll get to hear from them is ‘I know what I am doing; it’s my life, let me do whatever I want to; I know what is good for me; I am not a kid’ etc etc. I completely agree with them, they definitely know what they are doing, they have an understanding of good and bad and of course they are not kids at all; but still, at any age, there is no harm in being on the safer side.

I accept that a teenager always loves speed, loves to try new things in life, and he wants to be adventurous, cool and popular; for which he performs various activities, which according to him are a necessity; but while performing them he forgets that his act can also affect the life of the people who are attached with him, who care for him and who are living just for him. If a person tells us something, we say “why the hell does he keep telling me what is right;” but we never think about the fact that the person who scolds us, actually worries about us; for him our career, our life and we ourselves really mean a lot; but we instead of thanking him, start hating that person. We think that they do not want us to live our life in the way we want, but actually they just want us to be on the right path, they just don’t want us to get hurt.

Normally while having fun, we become careless about things; and sometimes that carelessness turns out to be too costly. So it is not about making your life dull; but is about being a bit watchful. Do whatever you feel like, live your life to the fullest, but just stay alert, be a bit careful. This life is not only yours; it also belongs to your parents, to your friends and to everyone who worries about you. Your one small mistake can take their life into deep darkness. So before doing anything stupid, think about your parents once, who have sacrificed their whole life just to make you something, just to see you happy. Think about your friends, who always want you to stand by their side; think that your one small stupidity can make their life just like hell. So live your life, enjoy your life, do great things, but be safe, and be a bit careful.
